About Us

Belaku Trust

We uplifts rural communities by providing essential support in education, healthcare, and economic development, fostering sustainable growth and empowerment for marginalized populations.

BELAKU TRUST (Biological and Eco Social Leaders Association for Karnataka Upliftment)** is a nonprofit, secular, and nonsectarian voluntary organization registered and working in the districts of Bangarpet. Established on 28/03/2016, the organization has been dedicated to promoting economic, social, environmental, and educational development. Over the past six years, BELAKU TRUST has identified the needs and aspirations of the rural poor and weaker sections through participatory approaches.
Their efforts include raising awareness, community health care, eliminating and rehabilitating child labor, protecting the environment, promoting HIV/AIDS awareness, initiating income generation activities, joint forest planning and management, natural resource management, poverty alleviation, sustainable agricultural development, watershed development, and women and child development programs.

Programs

Women Empowerment Program

The BELAKU TRUST Women Empowerment Program aims to uplift and empower women in rural communities. Through skill development, education, and entrepreneurship training, the program fosters economic independence. Health and legal awareness sessions ensure women are informed and protected. The initiative also promotes leadership and self-confidence, enabling women to become active community leaders. By addressing gender disparities, BELAKU TRUST strives to create a more equitable society.

Children's Education Initiative

Our NGO is dedicated to improving children's education in rural areas. We provide access to quality education, ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn and grow. Through after-school programs, scholarships, and educational resources, we support underprivileged children. Our goal is to create a brighter future by empowering the next generation with knowledge and skills.

Student Scholarship Distribution Ceremony

On 16/6/2024, at the Chetana Vidyasamsthe campus, an annual scholarship distribution ceremony for single-parent children studying in private schools was held. This event was organized with the support of La Park Educational Trust, Bangalore, and in collaboration with Belaku Trust and Chetana Vidyaniketan. Attendees included Manjunath and team members Nagendra, Geetha, and Binutha from La Park Educational Trust. Renowned singers Venkatachalapathi and Usharani from Ee Nela Ee Jala also graced the occasion. The event successfully provided much-needed support to deserving students.

Educational Support Program for Marginalized Children

In Baitamangala, KGF Taluk, Kolar District, essential facilities for a year-long education program were progressively provided to identified marginalized children within the community. This initiative aimed to empower these children through education. The program commenced on 5/6/2024, marking a significant step towards their academic and personal development.

Inauguration of "Light to Life" Program

An inauguration ceremony for the "Light to Life" program was held on 6/4/2024 in Mulbagal, Kolar District, as part of the "Basic Literacy" initiative. This event was organized by the District Literacy, Taluk Literacy, and Belaku Trust. The program included a 4-day training session aimed at promoting literacy.

International Women's Day Celebration

On March 8, we celebrated International Women's Day at Sambhram College Campus, KGF. The event highlighted women's achievements and promoted gender equality. Inspiring speeches and performances marked the celebration. The gathering emphasized the importance of women's empowerment and community support.

Award Ceremony for Athletes

An award ceremony for athletes was held on March 5, 2024, by the President of Chinnakote Gram Panchayat. The event was attended by Panchayat Development Officers and staff.

Legal Awareness Program

Students of schools and colleges these days are so deeply indulged in their academics and focused in making their careers, that they often forget the importance of legal awareness in their lives. This legal aid program can bring self awareness among the students and can spread such awareness in their society.

We organized Legal Awareness Programme which aims to empower the youth of our country with the knowledge of their legal rights and duties, ultimately to be able to share power equally, gain full access to the means of development and to inspire a whole generation of women to work together towards achieving gender equality and justice.

Basic Literacy program

We organized the Basic Literacy Program (BLP) in Bangarpet. It is an intensive community-based training for illiterate out-of-school youth and adults, who are willing to learn basic literacy skills. Although each learner’s skill level will differ, many who enroll in the BLP are unable to read or write anything but their own names.

Distribution of gas stove

We distributed gas stoves to poor people in Bangarpet. Providing gas stove to BPL households will ensure universal coverage of cooking gas in the country. This measure will empower women and protect their health. It will reduce drudgery and the time spent on cooking. It will also provide employment for rural youth in the supply chain of cooking gas.

Awareness Programme on Prevention of HIV/AIDS was organized by Belaku Trust .The program focus is on how to care and treatment to infected people, and above all, ensuring a healthy atmosphere in the society to end social stigma and ensuing social marginalization.
